On Thursday, December 12th, DataFile hosted the fourth annual People’s Choice Awards, the feel-good event of the year! Formerly known as the Big WIG (Wildly Important Goals) Awards, the People’s Choice Awards recognizes DataFile team members for a year well done. This year’s event included 15 award categories and was a celebration of all nominees, finalists, and award winners.

Nominations for these awards come from peer submissions by DataFile team members. More than 1,400 nominations were submitted for this year’s event. It’s safe to say DataFilers greatly appreciate their coworkers!

The spirited event took place on a private theater stage at B&B Theatres in Shawnee, Kansas and was decorated with colorful balloons and DataFile banners. More than 200 team members attended the celebration in person and remotely via live stream.

CEO Janine Akers kicked off the event by sharing the history of the People’s Choice Awards before leading into the presentation. Janine enthusiastically announced finalists for each award and presented each winner with a framed certificate while the crowd cheered excitedly.
