If you’re looking for the latest news in interoperability, look no further than DataFile Technologies. We joined 45,000 of our closest healthcare friends in Las Vegas at one of the largest industry events of the year, HIMSS 2018. As part of the Interoperability Showcase, we had the chance to meet and connect with attendees and exhibitors from all over the world, including our colleagues from the CommonWell Health Alliance.
When asked why DataFile was participating in the Interoperability Showcase area of HIMSS, Stuewe replied “We are a services company in an area primarily made of technology companies. We’re lucky at DataFile Technologies to have a team of healthcare data experts that fill in inherent gaps of interoperability through hands and judgement.”
While interoperability is progressing through connecting more settings and providers of care, there are still inherent challenges. “We believe one of the new challenges is the surplus of information, and it’s going to be a challenge to make sense of all of that data”, Stuewe added. “As the industry is radically changing, you can expect that DataFile Technologies will adapt with it. We are happy to help organizations with their interoperability and data challenges.”
DataFile Technologies is a proud general member of the CommonWell Health Alliance. The Alliance includes more than 80 members devoted to the vision that health data should be available to individuals and providers regardless of where care occurs. Through participation in CommonWell and other interoperability organizations, DataFile advocates that already overburdened providers should not bear the cost or compliance liability of interoperability.
