(Kansas City, MO – January 30th, 2019) DataFile Technologies, a leader in health information management and technology solutions, has announced that long-time team member and leader Michelle Delk has been appointed to Senior Operations Manager. In her new position, Delk will be leading the Velocity Reviews & Interoperability team where she will be responsible for service delivery and building partnerships with insurance payers, third-party medical record requestors, data providers, and technology teams.

Delk is a DataFile veteran of seven years who began as a Government Review Specialist in 2012. Delk steadily progressed through the ranks, achieving the position of Client Service Manager. In that prior role within the Release of Information team, she managed numerous strategic national accounts and was instrumental in the creation of processes to aid in the efficiency, compliance and accuracy of the DataFile records release service. Delk’s extensive experience in Release of Information, including payer chart audits and reviews, along with her keen focus on relationships make her the ideal fit to lead the charge in the company’s growing focus on interoperability, insurance payer reviews and third-party requestor data needs.

“Selecting Michelle for this new role was a clear choice given her capabilities, passion, knowledge, ability to streamline our operations, and dedication to both customers and DataFile,” said Shawn Whitcomb, Chief Operating & Technology Officer at DataFile. “She’s the right person to lead our focus on the future of data retrieval through our Velocity services.”

Velocity interoperability services from DataFile enable actionable health information and faster data exchange. Health data requestors can receive structured and unstructured health data for improved clinical and financial decision making. In addition to Velocity’s electronic health data exchange, organizations on the interoperability spectrum can leverage DataFile HIM professional services to ensure compliance and accuracy to handle the exceptions that automation doesn’t address.
